Generations of healthy indigenous peoples, living in accordance with natural laws, have proven that humans have an exquisite genetic potential for vibrant, disease-free health and longevity. Sadly, this incredible history is virtually unknown in the Western world — forgotten, lost, or ignored. After a century of unprecedented decline in health, we in the West now accept degenerative disease, digestive disorders, anti-depressants and crooked, decaying teeth as normal. It is time to reclaim the freedom from disease and radiant health that is our birthright.
So just what is this traditional wisdom, and why is it worth exploring in this technological age of MRI’s, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and biotechnology? – Good question!
As Sally Fallon has pointed out in Nourishing Traditions, “…modern food choices and preparation techniques constitute a radical change from the way man has nourished himself for thousands of years and, from the perspective of history, represent a fad that not only has severely compromised his health and vitality but may well destroy him.” We have put our faith in technology, and no longer look to our elders for guidance in the most basic areas of life such as diet and health.
In looking to modern technology to lead us to health and happiness, we have collectively experienced what Daniel Quinn calls “The Great Forgetting.” As a society we have forgotten that most of human history took place in simple, non-industrialized cultures – cultures which did not experience most of the diseases, stresses, and travails that we today consider inevitable.
This is not to overly romanticize traditional societies, but when we realize that our ancestors were taller, stronger, and enjoyed sensory acuity and other abilities that we can’t even imagine; when we realize that heart disease, cancer, obesity, and dental cavities were unknown to them and they often lived long lives and were productive until the end – when these things become clear our surprise and civilized smugness often gives way to humility and fascination.
Anthropologists and archaeologists also agree that traditional peoples typically had to spend just a few hours a week to obtain the necessities of life – the rest of their time was spent in leisure, art, learning, and play. Think about that the next time you are eating in the car, fighting traffic after a long day’s work!
What did these people know that we don’t? Granted, they didn’t have junk foods around to tempt them, but as you are about to find out, they were guided by an extraordinary wisdom accumulated over generations, which enabled them to turn raw materials from nature into super foods that supported a level of health we “civilized” people alive today have never known.
A wise man said, “People don’t always know when they’re being lied to, but they always know when they’re being told the truth.” Time and time again, we have found that when people are introduced to the traditional health wisdom of our ancestors, they report that they know it is true – at their core.
We invite you to become part of “The Great Awakening,” as millions of people discover that when it comes to health and nutrition, we don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
Degenerative diseases, obese babies, sick children, depression, and infertility are NOT natural, and not inevitable. By living according to nature’s wisdom, we can end the cycle of degeneration that has come to characterize civilization itself. It is time to reconnect to the nourishing traditions of our ancestors, and reclaim the excellent, healthy lives we were designed to live.
What is our full genetic potential? How to reach it?
Once again we see the effects of traditional wisdom: the older boy and girl enjoy wide faces and straight teeth, while the young boy has not expressed his inherent genetic perfection due to inadequate nutrition before conception and after birth.
Traditional peoples knew that wellness starts before conception. When both parents-to-be practice a time-tested preconceptual nutrition program prior to conceiving a child, they ensure that they will be able to supply the optimal building materials for new life. When this is followed by continued rich diet of the mother during breastfeeding (or feeding with nutrient-rich formula alternative made with whole food ingredients), and appropriate nutrition throughout the formative years of the child, physical development proceeds perfectly according to the blueprint in the DNA.
The child has a wide skull with plenty of room for the brain, glands, sinuses, jaw and all the teeth (including wisdom teeth). When the secondary teeth come in, they are straight and don’t need orthodontics. The smile is beautiful naturally. Cavities can’t gain a foothold even with minimal dental hygiene because the enamel is rock hard, as are all the bones of the body.
Boys develop into men with broad shoulders and naturally powerful physiques. Girls develop into women with strong bones, perfectly timed onset of menses, and wide hips for easy childbirth. Robust constitutions are the rule, and there is a natural resistance to colds, as well as diseases of all kinds. Do you see contrasts with today’s children?
The research of Drs. Price and Pottenger, and other pioneers suggest that among “civilized people” it will take several generations of nutrient-rich foods and preconceptual nutrition to once again fully express our magnificent genetic potential. The good news, however, is that significant results can be achieved in just one generation.
This has been a brief introduction to the subject of traditional wisdom. By integrating this information-what resonates and rings true for you, you will open up a world of new possibilities for your well being, and that of your future generations. We strongly urge you join the Weston A. Price Foundation, seek out a local chapter, make changes in your own diet, and share this information with your friends, especially those who plan to have children!
“Physical Degeneration” magnifies with every passing generation, and as we have pointed out, infertility is at an all-time high, degenerative diseases are soaring even in children, and when was the last time you met someone with naturally straight teeth?
Here at the Miller’s Organic Farm we believe in the recommendations from the Weston A. Price Foundation. We provide our members with foods we can trace and which are nutrient dense and chemical free.
We know that you have many choices nowadays, but knowing where and how your food is grown, having the option to contact and visit our farm and be able to support a farm who in return is supporting our health, is something – we feel confident – is also very important.
Dr. Price’s research demonstrated that humans achieve perfect physical form and perfect health – generation after generation – only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators, found exclusively in animal fats.
If you feel that the connection between your mind and body and the foods you are eating is broken, we like to invite you to become a member of our Association and nourish yourself from the abundant selection of raw dairy and animal products that are raised and grown in an ancient and most traditional way.
We strive to grow the healthiest animals and foods possible and are proud to say that we refuse to pay the price of cruelty and short cuts that are sadly most common when people consume foods from non transparent sources.
If you enjoy our view and want to change course, join us risk free. If you are not happy for any reason we will refund your membership after you placed your first order, no questions asked.
